Beta Nu installs new officers Beta Nu chapter of Beta Sigma Phi held installation of new officers on Monday evening. Installation ceremony was conducted by outgoing president Cheryl Lawson, Beta Nu's new president is Martha McCoy, vice president, Gwen Rambo; corresponding correspon-ding secretary, Cint White; recording secretary, Margaret Ammons, treasurer, Dot Williams; extension officer and city council representative, Glenda Smarr and alternate city council representative is June Webb. Pledge ritual was held for new member Glenda Smarr with all members present to participate. The Founder's Day Banquet was discussed and all members were urged to be at this gala celebration of the founding of Beta Sigma Phi. Beta Nu elects new committees The meeting of Beta Nu sorority was held April 21 at the home of Cint White. Ten members were present and one guest, Angie Mothershead. Ritual of transferee was held for Becky Rawls who was an active member of the Marfa Texas Sorority. Committee chairmen were elected as follows: Ways and Means-Glenda Smarr, social-Margaret Ammons, service-Gwen Rambo, yearbook-Angie Mothershead, scrap book-Glenda Smarr, publicity-Cint White, secret sisters-Dot Williams, telephone-Glenda Smarr. A date for the tea was set to interview applicants for the Barbara Sweeden Memorial Fund Scholarship, Saturday, May 17, at the home of Gwen Rambo. |
