Show I Castle Valley Comments ... J Spotlight The Organized Woman Trying to be an organized organ-ized person is one of my biggest challenges. You know there are those women who never run out of toilet paper, napkins, or papertowels...at least not all at the same time. They never have dirty dishes piled up in their sink from two meals because be-cause they were off flying kites with their children. The organized woman never runs out of lemon extract or matches. She always has shoe polish the same color as her shoes and stacks of paper in the right sizes. They have pencils in the glove compartments of cars and always one by the telephone with, of course, a notepad. They have gloves to match their coats, more than one lipstick lip-stick and spare pantyhose in their coat pockets. She wakes up every single morning knowing that there is enough bread in the kitchen to make toast for everyone. Now while I sometimes ! envy the organized wo- man, I also pity her. There is very little adventure or suspense in her life. She never knows the mystery of how a two-egg cake tastes when made with one egg, never knows the misery of getting chilled while a locksmith works on her car door. She buys her Christmas candy after Christmas for the next year, finishes her ironing on time and never at three o'clock on the morning before a trip the family is taking. She is fully equipped at all times with sewing kits and small cans of hair spray. She never misplaces mis-places her husband's favorite tie and always has his socks perfectly matched. mat-ched. If her husband needs a rubberband or paper clip, she can say ' "There are some in the lefthand corner of the righthand drawer, dear." Her blue envelopes last as long as her blue stationary. sta-tionary. Her yellow towels are always clean when her yellow bath mat is clean. Her children's clothes never have buttons missing mis-sing or a tear in them, and their faces are always clean, even behind their ears. You're crying? I'm sorry I can't help you. I'm out of napkins and facial tissue. |
