Show WOMAN'S CLUB Woman's Club met at the home of Mrs. Phyllis Engleman with Mrs. Nor-een Nor-een Wilson as co-hostess. President Edna Anderegg conducted the meeting, which took up several subjects during the evening. even-ing. It was voted to give $100 to the Senior Citizens for use in their new center, with a report from Mrs. Helen Tidwell that the building is almost ready for the meals to be cooked and served there instead of catered. All new equipment and appliances appli-ances are set in the enlarged kitchens, the rest rooms are finished, and the Senior Citizens are really proud of it. Scotty Boyle has spent a great deal of time on the project, and results are beginning to show. The scholarship was discussed, and it was hoped to make it a trifle larger than in years past. Mrs. Odell Anderson is in charge of it. President Anderegg and Mrs. Ruth Trough presented a blood pressure pres-sure cuff to the Firemen, with Firechief Howard Burnett and Fireman Dennis Den-nis Martyn accepting the piece of equipment for the ambulance. The advantage advan-tage is that the dials are held in the hand and read, rather than with a stethe-scope, stethe-scope, so that the problems prob-lems of noise and motion in the ambulance are avoided. The theme of the evening was St. Patrick's day, and the refreshments carried it out. Next meeting will be at the Senior Citizens' hall, and will be election of officers for the coming two years. |
