D D. D McKay McKa of chairman of the special corny corn com y almost immediately had th the measure recommitted in order to give it the finishing touches McKay explained ex- ex that because of the rule requiring requiring re- re quiring unanimous consent to Introduce introduce intro intro- duce bills after the forty fifth day he felt some opponent of the measure might easily casilY defeat Its Introduction Hence he said the bill was introduced in an unfinished state I The bill is a a. somewhat startling measure in that it proposes to collect a 2 per cent income tax without ex- ex which h Would mean that 2 per percent cent ent of the lowest wage paid In the state as well as 2 per cent of the income would be dumped without discrimination into the chest of the state school treasury |
