Show HOUSE PASSES SEVEH BILLS AND THREE ARE INTRODUCED Three new bills were- introduced in the House of Representatives yesterday, yester-day, and that body passed seven bills. The following were the bills introduced: H. B. No. 297,- Dyreng Regarding a preparatory course of study in the University of Utah; referred to the Committee on Education. H. B. No. 298, Judiciary Committee Commit-tee To -establish uniform standard of weights .and measures; referred to Committee Com-mittee on . Federal Relations. H. J. M. No. 12, Westphal, addressed to the secretary of interior. The memorial mem-orial follows: Tour memorialists, the Legislature of the State of Utah, respectfully represent that Spring- Creek lake is an arm of Utah lake, and la situated near Bprlngvtlle. Utah county. State of Utah, and is peculiarly pecu-liarly and naturally adapted for the propagation pro-pagation of food fish and especially bass, and that a bass hatchery in said Spring Creek lake would be of great profit and utility to the inhabitants of the State of Utah: now. Therefore, we respectfully request that you take the proper steps to establish a bass hatchery In the said Spring Creek lake. The following bills weT passed by the House: 8. B. No. 268, Dean Relating to the manner of taking an appeal to the Supreme court, and to provide for the specifications in the notice of appeal of the particular errors on which the appellant will rely. H. B. No. 71, Kobinson Relating to burglarious tools and deadly weapons. H. B. No. 160, Clegg Authorizing cities of the first and second classes to issue script against the funds to be raised by special taxes and to dispose of such script and providing for the manner of issuing tne same and the . enforcement and redemption thereof. H. B. No. 211, Dean Providing a penalty for interfering with the regulation regula-tion of water commissioners. H. J. R. No. 6, Westphal Regarding Regard-ing the pension claim of Mrs. Patience L. Moses Archer of Pleasant Grove. Utah, urging congressional delegation from Utah to have case reopened. H. J. M. No. 10, Kuchler Urging Congress to create a department of mines. II. J. M. No.' 9, Kuchler Regarding Regard-ing a department of mines and urging Congress to act in the matter. S. B. No. 97.
