Show RANGE WAR IN WYOMING CAMPS Fight Between Cattlemen and Sheepmen Is Renewed; Re-newed; Camp Burned; Sheep Disappear. " .( SHERIDAN, Wyo., March 9. Northern Wyoming Is again threatened with a range war between the cattle and sheepmen. sheep-men. Closely following on the attai-k on the Wisner camp last week, in which 400 head of sheep were killed and the camp burned, comes the report of a greater outrage In Owl Creek country. The Hugh Dickey rheep camp was at- tacked hy a band of twelve masked men, supposed to be in the employ of the cattlemen. The raiders drove off the sheep herders herd-ers with threats of shooting, fired the camp outfit and then began shooting sheep. Out of a total of 8000 sheep In the band, 4000 have disappeared and all are supposed to have been klled. The cattlemen have marked out a dead line and the Dl"fcry sheep were one mile over the dead line. The war prohsi'ly will spread to other csmps and further trouble is likely to , occur. |
