William White Wilson, pastor of the St. Mark's Episcopal church and ' president of the Actors' Church alliance, arraigned the "lij off" policy prevalent In Chicago nowadays and declared for a closed Sunday. He bitterly bit-terly denounced the managers of the Chicago Chi-cago theaters who oppose closing on Sunday Sun-day as "slave drivers and Inhuman money grabbers." . The meeting was well attended by representatives rep-resentatives of the stage and the pulpit. The seventh day closing question was put to a vote. It was unanimous In favor of the closed theater Sunday. Dr. Wilson announced that a great mass meeting will be called in the near future to make a public demand for Sunday closure of the j -theaters, J |
