Show COLUMBUS CON.'S SHOWING. Of all the mining that has been done In the Alta camp up to date, there has never been a showing in any of the mines o compare with that of the Columbus Consolidated. This wonderful property has been . handicaped during the past winter because of the almost impassible condition of the wagon roads during the trreater part of the season, and despite this fact the tonnage that has been taken out is of sufficient value to have paid all the expenses of operation of both mine nnd mill. In addition to this, it has iiled up a comfortable surplus In the treasury. 4 The showing underground Is improving each day, is the statement given out at the company's offices in this city, and every returning pilgrim from the Alta diggings is enthused more and more whenever the mine is thrown open for Inspection. Within a week there will he a meeting of the directors of this company, and It. Is given out on the bent of authority that there will be a dividend of 20 cents per share declared at this meeting, while the next quarterly distribution will doubtless doubt-less be increased to as much as 371 cents per share, because of the increased shipments ship-ments that will follow a little later on. "One of the staunch supporters of the Columbus Co-lumbus Consolidated stated this morning morn-ing that he looked to see the company pay us much as 50 cents per share to Its fortunate for-tunate owners before the snow files in the hills next season. . |
