Show SALT LAKERS WELL UP IN TOURNAMENT DENVER. March 9. Salt Lake Crowns made second score In the five-men class team last night at the bowling tournament, tourna-ment, and took second place with a score of 2503. This was the only outside team that participated in the five-men class. J. A. Langley was the high man In the Individual class. His score was 668. Burrell and Thompson of Chicago, who bowled In the afternoon as a team, participated par-ticipated as Individuals and the former made the second highest score of the class with, 641. Thompson was a close third with a score of 638. W. V. Thompson of Chicago has announced an-nounced his intention of bringing champions cham-pions of the Western Bowling congress, the American Bowling congress and the National Bowling association together if possible. The American Bowling congress con-gress Is to meet In St. Louis March 16 to 21, and the National Bowling association associa-tion Is to have its tournament In Atlantic City. N. J-, March 26 to April s. Six two-men teams bowled In the afternoon. af-ternoon. The highest score was 1083, made by O. Peterson and W. Mclnerney of Denver. W. V. Thompson and William Burrell of Chicago, the only team from outside Denver which participated In the afternoon contest, made 101C, which was the third highest score. Six Denver men bowled in the Individual Indi-vidual class and H. M. Barton made the highest score. 63. Several Utah teams are scheduled for Saturday in the doubles. R. Brewerton and Qulnh, Spitz and Williams, and Tal-am Tal-am antes and Anderson roll. In the five-men five-men series, the Ogdens and the Salt Lake business men roll in the evening.
