Show u.. -- - i DECEMBER, month of holly and mistletoe commemorative of the Christmas season, nil! be given over for the next ihrc weeks to preparation for the great holiday nn.i vriil end with celebrations of the festival of peace and good will. For the American people know that behind the war cloud the sunshine of peace is still shining and that the bravo young men fighting in :be trencher, even if they are called ipon to make the supreme sacrifice, are .ui a ting the example of One who gave 7 tlis life that love might triumph over barred in the world aud that peace instead in-stead of strife might reign. And so, it is fitting that the Christmas Christ-mas candles t-hould bum as brightly a? 1 prer and joy prevail at the Christmas 1 season, even in the face of the saaden- ing influence of war, for surely the 1 song of the angel choir of "Peace od Esrtb, Good Will to Men,' will iu the end overcome the boom of the cannon mid the roar of the musketry and the jririt of love will again rule the world. With this spirit induced by the Christmas thought, corses the impulse to give.
