Pre-scason prospects were never so bright for the Leopards and they wi'l tnar wntching all the way. The official call for hoopers will be issued this weei and the class furies will be under way within a few davs. The Panthers liave Ernie Fallentine, Bill Kaufman and Art Leonard of the old team back and there are many among the new men who are sure to step. Deald, a freshman, has been doing good work in early practice. Mac Pyke is almost certain to hold down a position this season. Granite and Jordan lost a large -number throuch graduation and otherwise. Little is known of their material. Sam Baird will handle the Granite basketball basket-ball squad. Bingham and Tooele. Coach Homer Christenscn of Binacam has practically a new team, but they look like a bunch of coming stars. Christen sen will brine them out for thir debut within a few weeks. Tooele has Harris and Staples around whom to build the hoop aggregation. Coach West believes his new men who have had some previous experience will work in well with the two veterans and as Tooele always has 6tood up high, this year is expected to be no exception. excep-tion. Lehi of the Alpine will bear watching, watch-ing, as practically the same team which started lat season will represent rep-resent the school again. The Leht bunch won the Thanksgiving day game from the B. Y- V.. 3-t to 30, and from all signs look like the Alpine favorites. Pleasant Grove put up a hard scrap against the L. D. S. U. last week. Snow trounced the branch Agricultural college col-lege for the southern title, and expect to be in the running strong again this vear. The southern division ready to start. All the teams are in training and are trying to keep their strength under cover. The branch Agricultural college is holding its class series at! present and as usual Coach Jack Christen Chris-ten sen is saying little. He has lost sev oral stars through enlistment.
