Xoble Warrum. postmaster, has received his first supply of the stamps and certificates certifi-cates from the federal reserve bank at San Francisco. Any of the banks in Utah failing to receive a consignment! of the stamps and certificates will be supplied temporarily by Mr. Warrum, he stated yesterday. Aid and co-operation of the Utah ' schools was pledged George T. Odell, ; state director for Utah, at a confer- ! ence 'held yesterday afternoon in the ; office of L. G. Gowans, state superin- j tendent of public instruction. During; the day Mr. Odell appointed the fol- j lowing war savings committee chair- j men over the state: I Senator J. W. Funk. Richmond; j Mayor Hirsehel "Sullen, Logan; Mari- ner" Keeles, Logan ; Archibald Bevan and Peter Clegi'. Tooele; Mayor Axel Blomquist, Coalville: J. D. Peters. Brigham: Arch McKinnon, Randolph; John K. Barton and J. F. Tolton. Beaver; Bea-ver; R. S. Collett, Roosevelt; Carl R. Marcusen and Orson Ryan, Price, Attending the conference of school heads at the capitol yesterdav afternoon after-noon were district and city school superintendents su-perintendents from the following counties: coun-ties: Carbon. Pavis. Salt Lake. Morgan, Mor-gan, Utah, Summit, San Juan, Tooele, Wasatch and Weber. Among those making strong talks in favor of the schools taking active part in the campaign cam-paign were Mr. Gowans, E. E. Smith and Francis W. Kirkham. Mr. Kirk ham 1 was givn authority to appoint a committee com-mittee of superintendents to plan the work in the schools. Another meeting, at which ;i00 t teachers are expected, hus been called I by J.
