Show SLACKERS WILL BE SENT TO THE FRONT No Jail Sentences Hereafter for Men Who Fail to Register for Service. U'ASUTNHiTONV Pee. 1. Under the new draft rules and regulations eff ec-tive ec-tive December lo, men convicted of failini; to register on last dune 5, will bo dealt with more harshly than under tlie old system. Provost General (.'row-der (.'row-der announced today that such men, instead in-stead of beinr jjiven jail sentences, as has been done in many wises heretofore, hereto-fore, will be so listed by local boards as to insure thoir call wi th the first increment in-crement summoned after the new rules are put in force. Local .boards are directed not to seed the registration cards of the convicted men to the state adjutant general for serial number assignment, but. to place them at the top of the first class liable for call.
