That theatrical folk are patriotic to the fullest extent and always ready to help a good cause is evidenced by the enthusiastic manner in which the Pan-tages. Pan-tages. Wilkes, Orpheum and Palt Lake actors and employees are working to make Friday, national theater day, an immense success. The stage hands, musicians, actors and others employed around these theaters the-aters will donate their services next Friday for the special performances for the benefit of the American Red Cross. Consequently, every cent realized from the sale of tickets will be turned over to the American R-ed Cross officials at Waf hiniton, IX G. One-half of the money received from Salt Lake will then be returned here for use by the local chapter of the Bed Cross. It is anticipated that capacity houses will be the rule at the Orpheum. Pan-tapes. Pan-tapes. Wilkes and Salt Lake theaters on national theater day, for not only have some unusually attractive pro-jrranimP9 pro-jrranimP9 been arranged, but it will afford af-ford amusement seekers a chance to display their patriotism. National theater day will be observed Throughout the countiv next Friday by h!1 legitimate and vaudeville houses, and it is expected that a considerable sum will be realized by the Red Cross from this source of revenue. The Pantases will have as its head-liner head-liner Marty "Brooks 's latest nnisioal comedv success, ' ' Bon Voyage,'' featuring featur-ing the well known comedian, .limniy Gildeh, and a number of pretty maidens: the Orpheum headliner will be Eddie Vov and the seven little Foys; the "Wilkes players will be seen in that iram3 of dramas, "Mother." and the Salt Lake theater will present the comic opera, "Pom Pom." featuring Mitzi, the internationally famous prima donna. |
