Show WALL STREET M PRODUCES STEADILY Development in Other Liming Lim-ing Properties Is Most Encouraging. Special to The Tribune. IA'MXl;. Nov., Pec. 1. The Wall street mine at Liming never laokcd so son,! a3 it ,loea to.iav, thonBh it has heen a stea.lv pro.luc'or of hiyli trrade fopper ore tor to years, the east drift on the -JOO-foot 'level is in thirty feet and shows the yein all the wav with two feet of the ore average 124 per cent eopper. Developments in other parts of the mine are describe- hv a disinterested dis-interested mining- man who is not L'iven to gushiiip ns "wonderful," and Man-azer Man-azer Cerhar.U is al.io yerv enthusiastie. 1 he latter is soekinc more teams to handle a much inrreased production. K. TT. Wedekind, I",. .., who has held many important positions in the mining and metallurgical world, has been en-paed en-paed as consuitinc engineer of the ede Copper company. He is itn-piesscd itn-piesscd with the Wedge and it possibilities pos-sibilities and sa.vs that the work already al-ready done has opened up two apparently appar-ently good ore shoots one to the west of the main cross-cut which ehows the apex of a shoot with ore of excellent grade traceable in the tunnel for a distance dis-tance of fifty feet and yerv much in evidence in the west face. He savs also that the sboot which is being developed by a winze from the east drift in .'o. 1 tunnel, down fifty-live feet, is proving up a large bodv of sulphide dissemf-nated dissemf-nated ehalcopyrite, with streaks of high-grade shipping ore. In addition to the big vein on the St. Patrick mine of the Kirch en Mines corporation, on which most of the development de-velopment has been done, there is a separate silieious vein in the monzonite, three feet wdde, which cuts into tho main yein at an oblique angle. This shows copper values of from .1 to 6 per cent, the net returns of two carloads shipped being 0 per rent in copper. Most of the ore deposits of the Liming Lim-ing district arc on the lime-monz.onitc contact, but. in addition to the exception excep-tion noted, there has been another discovered dis-covered on the Pilot Copper ground. In the latter ease the rich deposits have been found in the lime hanging wall, i From one which was opened up north of the main shaft a carload has been shipped which went 8 per cent copper, 4 ounces silver and .04 ounce gold. This deposit is separate and distinct from the main ore body. The Luiiing-Idaho is saving ore for another shipment, that which is now-coming now-coming from the main workings being of the usual gooil grade. The management manage-ment feels highly encouraged with present conditions as they have 4;ViO feet on tho strike of the vein, -with openings at various points showing a better grade of ore than that of more famous properties in other camps. .). C. Krumblav, lieno representative of the I'nited states Smelting Sc Refining Re-fining company, was in Liming this week for the purpose of looking over th& district in behalf of his company. |
