STANDECD, JH. iiS- -., 'A tv;- ;1 ' ONE of the most earnest students now attending the second officers' training train-ing camp at the Presidio is Drew "W . Standrod, Jr., of Pocatello. Idaho. He is 26 years of age and a lawyer by profession, "being a partner with his fa- j ther. The ambitious officer in training attended at-tended the public and high schools in Po-catello, Po-catello, Whitman college and the law school of the University of Pennsylvania and New York law school. In attending the training camp he is following the example of his earliest ancestors an-cestors in this country, who distinguished themselves in the Revolutionary war. Captain John Van Patten, on his mother's side, was distinguished fer bravery on several occasions. Major John Van Warmer, War-mer, another ancestor, won prominence in the Revolution. |
