LEO MEEHAN. fens j ' T LEO MEEHAjT, manager and editor of the IntermountaJn Catholic, received re-ceived notification from official headquarters- yesterday that he lias been enrolled en-rolled as a commissioned officer in t lie flying corps of the naval training reserve, and Is subject to cull at any time. As soon as his enrollment papers are sent to Washington he wlU be given the rank of ensign. Mr. Meehan came to Salt Lake six years ago from Elgin, 111., since which time he has been prominently identified with local newspapers in both repertorlal and executive capacities. He has held the positions of city and state editor on The Salt Lake Tribune and was also city editor of the Evening Telegram. In June, 1916, he was appointed to his present pres-ent position as manager and editor of the Inter mountain Catholic 'en Bishop Joseph S. Glass obtained the controlling interest in the weekly publication. Mr. Meehan la secretary of the Fourth Degree Knights of Conimbus, secretary and "treasurer of the Escalante club and a member of the Bonneville club. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Meehan.
