Show ARTILLERY MEMBERS ; M VISIT TO HOIS Utah Regiment Given Final Leave Before Departure for California. Members of the First I'tah liht field artillery were dusmisseil yesterday lioon over Sunday to spend the last holiday at thoir homes before ihe departure de-parture for the Linda Vista concentration concen-tration camp. Kvcry man, with the exception ex-ception of those selected to guard the camp, took advpntage of the last opportunity op-portunity to spend a -night at their homes, and nt l o'clock yesterday the camp site was almost deserted. Tomorrow the artillerymen will be assigned duties in preparation for leaving. leav-ing. But little drill will be held during dur-ing the week owing to the many things that must be accomplished before the regiment leaves. Owing to th'3 early date of departure, the duck dinner promised the artillery-1 men by E. II. Siddoway, state fish and game commissioner, will be postponed until the boys reach their destination. The duck season does not open until October 1. and as tho date, of tho departure-is a day earlier, the birds will be shipped to Camp Kearny as soon as possible. Captain Fred Kammerman, who has charge of the transportation of the Utah troops, busied himself yesterday in making arrangements with the railroad rail-road company. Officials say that a sufficient number of cars will be on hand to entraiu the artillerymen and their equipment on schedule- time. Captain K. G. Woolley of C battery vesterdav suffered a broken wrist when he fell "heavily to the ground while racing -with a "doe mascot of the camp. The dog playfully jumped while the race was in progress and tripped the officer. The fracture was reduced by Major Willard Christopherson of the medical detachment of the regiment. The regimental band, under the direction direc-tion of C. J. Hawkins, will give the final concert before the departure, Wednesday evening, at the camp, beginning begin-ning at 7:30 p. m. Among the other features of the programme will be a cornet solo by Ass.is-' tant Bandmaster Visser and a clarinet solo by O. E. Christensen.
