Show BAPTISTS TO MEET 1 ' IN STATI SESSION - Thirty-fourth Annual Convention Con-vention to Open Next Wednesday Morning. The thirty-fourth annual session of the Baptist state convention will be opened in the Immanuel Baptist church at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning by the Rev. C. B. Allen, who will welcome the delegation. The. session will close with a Baptist Young People's Union rally at 7 o'clock Friday evening. Dr. CI. L. White of Los Angeles will speak on "Our Young People" at the closing session. Among " thoso who are scheduled to speak during the convention are Mrs. A. V. Willey of Salt Lake, Fred Preshaw of Ogden, Dr. G. L. White of Los Angeles, Miss ina Shaw of Topeka, Kan., the Ke.v. George Havne, pastor of the Burlington Baptist church of Salt Lake; the Kev. A V. Willey, state evangelist: Mrs. II. J. Fitzgerald of Salt Lake, Dr. E. 1). Hammond of Salt Lake, K. W. Spencer Lf Moab, tho Rev. H. Lyon Bayues, pastor Bethel church. Salt Lake; Dr. A. W. Rider of Los Angeles, Dr. ('. A. Woody of Portland, Ore.; Dr. L. I.. Barnes of New York Citv and the Rev. V. J. Liljegren of Salt Lake. The report of E. C. Lindgren of Salt Lake, treas-urer, treas-urer, will be read Thursdav afternoon. Professor J. A. Smith of Ogden will speak that afternoon on " Increasing Church Offerings." The Ogden aud the Provo choirs will furnish music. The election of officers will be held toward the closing session. |
