Show GREAT EXPOSITION BRINGS BENEFITS The state feels well repaid for the 500.-000 500.-000 it spent tor the erection, maintenance and collection of exhibits to be displayed at the Panama-Pacific exposition. The twelfth legislature appropriated $100,000 to secure this representation. R. C. Beach of Lewiston, E- H. Dewey of Xampa and Major Fred R. Reed, then immigration commissioner, paved the way for the showing, laying the preliminary pre-liminary plans. They were succeeded by Timothy Regan of Boise and Harry L. Day of Wallace, with Jay A. Czizek as executive commissioner. Under their direction di-rection and supervision the Idaho nuild- ing. erected at a co.st of $14,000, was maintained and the interests of the state looked after. Idahoans and visitors were entertained and through the exhibits' valuable val-uable advertising it would be difficult to estimate was secured. It is believed it will inlluence the best class of investors and emigrants luoking for an opportunity to earn a fair return on their money or a new county to locate in Idaho offers both to them, as well as an -excellent climate. |
