Show EXPENSES DOUBLED FDR 06DEN II 191S Sidewalks, Sewers and Curbing Cost Nearly $100,-000 $100,-000 During Year. STREET PAVING DONE Table Shows Operating Cost of the Municipal Departments. From a financial standpoint Ogden City finished the year 1915. with an increased overdraft of less than $60,000, in spite of tho fact that total expenditures expendi-tures for the twelve months more than doubled those of the previous year. In the absence of accurate figures it was estimated by City Auditor Arthur F. Larson that the overdraft on Jaunary 1, 1U16, would be approximately tl40,000, compared with $82,194.31 on January 1, 191.5 This increase is also largely due to benefit derived from using $70,468.(33 earned by the waterworks department in 1914, which would virtually increase the January 1, 1913, overdraft to $132,000. Exclusive of the amount spent in inv proveraents, nearly $i00,000 was expended ex-pended during the year on such permanent perma-nent improvements as sidewalks, sewers and curbing. Chief among the street surface improvements was the reconstruction recon-struction of 'Washington avenue from the Ogden river to Twelfth street with macadam and Tarvia. From Twelfth street to Five Points the avenue was rebuilt with gravel. Street Work Done.
