Show EARNINGS OF ROAD SHOW BIG INCREASE Improvem en t of B u siness C traditions in Western Country Are Reflected in Statement. The general improvement in western business conditions during the past few months is reflected in the announcement an-nouncement made by F. A. Wann, general gen-eral traffic manager of the Salt Lake Route, to the effect that the earnings of the road for the five months ending end-ing December 1 amounted to $82:3,300 more than for ike same period a year ago. The Salt Lake P-oute is ono road that lias not benefited on account of extensive ex-tensive munition plants along its line and has had to depend largely upon the general improvement in business to show an increase in earnings. The closing of the Panama canal, without question, has been an important factor in the heavy increase shown.
