Active mining operations will be started ; immediately on the Creole Mining com- ; pany's ground, located in the Lincoln ' mining district of Beaver county, accord- ! ing Jo the local officials. The company j has been financed by local interests and It is expected that shipments of both I copper ore and iron ore containing values in gold, silver and lead, will be started j to the local smelters as soon as teams can be secured to haul the ore. Judge Norman W. Ha ire, president of the Michigan-Utah Consolidated Mining company; Mr. Llnke and J. W. Reynolds have taken over all of the Croff Inter- i ests in the Creole ground, all of the Denny estate interests and all of the interest held by Cyrus . Marks of Chicago, Chi-cago, III. The Creole group consists of nine full mining claims, seven of which are pa tented. It is the same property that was sold some years ago by Mathew Cullen for $270,000. A main working shaft has been sunk to a depth of 2S0 feet on a vein that is six feet in wid th and that sliows from two and one-half to three and one-half feet of copper ore. The ore runs between be-tween 6 and 7 per cent .copper, about fifteen ounces in silver and from $4 to $5 in gold to the ton. Miners will be started breaking this ore for shipment as soon as Mr. I.I nke can orga nize his force. Due to the location of the property, ore that runs as low as $10 to the ton can be shipped at a profit. A small shipment that was sent out from the property recently, containing about twenty-eight tons, netted the shippers ship-pers more 'than ST'OO after all treatment charges and freight charges had been paid. Tn the neighborhood of twenty car-ioad car-ioad shipments had been sent out before the work was stopped. The property has been in litigation for a number of years and it was only recently that the various interests could be brought together. The Creole Mining company Is capitalized capi-talized for 1,000, ono shares, the par value of each share being 25 cents. There are iJOO.OOO shares In the treasury. Norman TV.
