Show KANAWHA DISPATCH ADDS TO ITS FORCE Wayne F. Carbia Is Made Soliciting i ight Agent for Company in s, Salt Lake,. J. E. Gosling, commercial agent of the Kanawha Dispatch, returned yesterday yes-terday from Cincinnati, cloaked -with authority to augment the local force of the company to the extent of one man. Mr. Gosling lost no time in' exercising his authority, and as a sort, of a New Year's present to himself immediately appointed Wayne P. Carbis soliciting freight agent for the company. The appointment became effective yesterday and Mr. Carbis took up bis new work yesterday afternoon. Mr. Carbis is a resident "of Salt Lake and last vcar graduated from the Salt Lake fiigh school. "The business in the intermountain country is growing so fast that it was necessary to enlarge the local force to look after our interests in this territory, terri-tory, ' ' said Mr. Gosling. "The additional addi-tional man has been sorely needed for some time, but until business was on a sound basis our general officials were not inclined to assume additional expense. ex-pense. ' ' Mr. Gosling, accompanied by bis fam- 1 il.V. lpft here two weeks ago" to spend the Christmas holidays with his parents j in Wisconsin. From there Mr. Gosling I went to Cincinnati for a conference with j the general official of the Kanawha j liispatch. with the result that an addi-i tionnl r pre sen ta r i ve in the Salt Lake j territory was authorized. j |
