Show TEN SUCCESSFUL IN MINING EXAMINATIONS Ten applicants for state certificates as mine foremen and fire bosses, who were examined at Price December 5 and 6, successfully passed the examination, according to announcement made yesterday yester-day by J. E. Pettit, state mine inspector. inspect-or. Two applicants failed. The test was held for applicants from Carbon and Emery counties, and was conducted con-ducted by Mr. Pettit, as chairman of the examining board; Robert Howard of Kemmerer, as representative of the operators, oper-ators, aud David Crawford of Sunnyside for the miners. Those who passed the examination for mine foremen are: John Phelps of Eains, A. D. McLean of Price, W. A. Beam of Standardville, Fred Turner of Storrs and John Turner of Mohrland. Those who passed the examination for fire bosses are: Thomas Finlay of Sunnyside, Sun-nyside, Frank Morgan of Sunnyside, John Preston of Sunnyside, A. S. Davidson Da-vidson of Mohrland and S. W. Elwood of Castlegate. |
