Show SAYS SUSPECTS PUT POISON IN DRINK fj. K. Lewis, a wealthy farmer of Beaver county, yesterday' at the city jail positively identified Herman -Marks and J. O'Brien, arrested Thursday Thurs-day night on a charge of administering "knock-out" drops, as tho two men he met in a saloon a few days ago and who he alleged dropped some of the poison into his beer while he was drinking with them. The arrest of Marks and O'Brien was due to a mso suggested by Joseph C. Sharp, chief of detectives" A police agent went into a bar, flashed a roll of bills aud bought drinks freely. Marks and O'Brien became very "friendly" with him, and it is alleged put sonic of the drops into his beer. The police decoy feigned acute intoxication intoxi-cation and Mark's and O'Brien took him to a room. There they are alleged to have robbed him. When thev left the room they were promptly seized by officers. offi-cers. The police agent's roll of bills was found upon them, also some "kuock-out" drops, according to the police. |
