Show FIREMEN'S BALL IS SUCCESSFUL EVENT Ninth. Annual Hop of Laddies at the Auditorium Helps to Swell the Relief Fund. The ninth annual ball given at the Auditorium last night by the Salt Lake Firemen 's Relief association for the firemen s relief fund, proved one of the social events of the season a ad one of the most successful dances ever given bv the firemen of the citv. 'More than worth of tickets were sold by the firemen and their f rieuds before the doors to the Auditorium Audi-torium opened last night, and it was estimated that nearly 3000 attended. The affair was under the direction of a committee composed of Andrew 'Hi k rem, chairman; Reuben Simpson and Jack Burris. The floor committee was composed of Chief W. II. By water, fK Ken ben Simpson, K. ('. Short, W. S. fc. Knight, I. S. Mills, Georire Uttinger, f V. Odcnwalder, A. R. Williams, W. T. ? Gahoon, .1. Burris. P. -J. Gallagher and W Andrew Eikrem. Near the entrance was a long table, fvun which pretty girls gave out programmes pro-grammes and carnations to the guests. Mayor W. Mont Ferry represented 1 ho city commission. The various dunces wore given titles that are char-iir-tcristic expressions in connection with fire fighting. |
