Show SUES FOR DAMAGES FOR BODILY INJURY Singer and Entertainer Enters Action In Court Against Manager of Theater Circuit. W. H. Swanson of the Swanson theater thea-ter circuit is made the defendant in a suit for $10,000 damages, filed in the Third district court yesterday, the plaintiff, plain-tiff, Marie Bond, alleging that the defendant de-fendant beat her' and kicked her to the extent of inflicting serious personal injuries. The plaintiff, -who says that she is a singer and entertainer, alleges that upon November 15 of the present year the defendant struck her with his fists until he bruised her nose, blacked an eve and knocked her down. She rur-tber rur-tber alleges that he kicked her after she had fallen and that she was rendered ren-dered unconscious as a result of the alleged al-leged attack upon her by the defendant. It is further alleged "by the plaintiff that she was incapacitated, through her injuries, from engaging in her occupa-, occupa-, tion as an entertainer for a period of three weeks. She alleges that thereby she was loser in the amount of $12(5, at the rate of $40 a week salary. She further alleges that it was necessary for her to go to a hospital for surgical attention, the bill for which was $20, and that the bill of the attending physician physi-cian was $50. Plaintiff prays the court that she be allowed judgment in the amount of $10,190, representing $10,000 damages and expenses alleged to have been incident in-cident to her experience at the hands of the defendant, which she attests as the basis of the suit. |
