Show England Economizing. White flour will be only a memory in England after January 1 and graham bread will be substituted, according to P. M. Hixson, who has just returned from a missionary conference at Hull, I England. He says that the substitution will be a part of the national food conservation con-servation programme. Even the graham bread will be issued only by ticket, in order to prevent waste. Food prices are high, he says, beef steers bringing 5200 to $300 and sheep $30 a head. Potatoes are $4 a hundred. |
