Through an erroneous report that recently re-cently found Its way into the daily press the Idea has spread that the farmers' roundup and housekeepers' conference annually held at Logan by the extension division of the Utah Aprrirultural college, will this year be transfer led to Qyden. While a bi roundup and conference will be held at Offden from January -12 to 27. IP 17, the regular Lou-an atlierin.q will also be held. The college has been increasing in-creasing the number of roundups held each year to keep pace with the great growth in popularity that these gatherings gather-ings have seen. This year four conventions conven-tions will be held. A series of meetings will be conducted at Salina from January 9 to January 17, II'IT. At these sessions special emphasis will be laid on live stock and feeding: in the roundup, while the conferences will emphasize the family nutrition, the care of the family and dem-onsirations dem-onsirations In cookery- Mrs. Harriet L. B. Darling of Massachusetts and Dr. Ol-sen. Ol-sen. Salt Lake baby specialist, will conduct con-duct discussions. Following the Sallna meetings, the Og-den Og-den roundup will he held January 22 to LIT. Here soils, feeding and drainage will be featured. A special series of state farm bureau meetings will be held. The women will emphasize again problems connected with the feeding of the family. Logan will sec the next roundup January 29 to February 3. The business of farming farm-ing will receive special emphasis at Ix-gmi. Ix-gmi. The new state irrigation congress will convene during the Iosan roundup. The housewives will again take up nutritional nu-tritional problems. The final series of meetings will be held at Cedar City February Feb-ruary 7 to 15 Problems in silos, feeding of live stock and corn growing will occupy oc-cupy the attention of the men, while the women will discuss the same problems outlined for the previous gatherings. |
