Show DEMOCRATS MAKE MORESELECTIONS Members of Committee on "Political Pie" Pass on Names of Appointees. The Democratic county "pie" committee commit-tee cleaned up its work of selecting the1 : faithful for minor appointments Ui con nection with the county administration at a four-hour session last night at the Newhouse hotel. Despite the fact that there were no applicants for a number of positions, the committee found ample competition to occupy its attention. The committee disregarded the choice of the Salt Lake County Medical society in its recommendations for county physician physi-cian and indorsed thft appointment of Dr. G. C. Emery of Holiiday. Dr. T. F. Howell, the choice of the medical fraternity, fra-ternity, was ignored for the reason that he had neglected the insignificant detail of filing an application. For one of the assistant county physicians the committee commit-tee indorsed a woman. Dr. Claire Gouley. The "pie" committee, actin? on behalf of the county committee as a whole, accepted ac-cepted the invitation of the slate inauguration inau-guration committee to participate in the inaugural parade. A committee will be named by Chairman R W. Mendenhall this morning to take charge of inaugural arrangements on behalf of the county. The committee also accepted the invitation invi-tation of the Progressive county "pie" committee to meet with it at the New-house New-house hotel tomorrow night to discuss the apportionment of offices in the county. coun-ty.
