Show GRADE CROSSINGS UNDER DISCUSSION A safety first meeting of railroad officials offi-cials was held yesterday in the office of E, C. Manson, superintendent of transportation trans-portation of the Oregon Short Line. The prevention of grade-crossing accidents, ; especially those involving automobiles, 1 was the chief topic discussed. Those attending were Superintendent, E. C. Manson, General Counsel G. H. Smith, Safety First Commissioner L. E. Abbott of the Oregon Short Line; Howard Elliott, inspector of transportation on the Salt Lake Route; F. M. Abbott of the Salt Lake & Ogden road; H. F. .Dicke of the Boise Interurban; C. J. McDonald, assistant as-sistant superintendent of transportation of the Southern Pacific road; P. D. Sline of the Ogden, Logan & Idaho interurban; R. J. Clancy, assistant to the general manager of the Southern Pacific; W. R. Sebree of the Caldwell (Idaho) Traction company; General Manager E. M. Heigho of the Pacific & Idaho Northern and others. |
