Show COUNTY TO SUPPLY GRASSHOPPER POISON PROVO, July 3. Arrangements were made today at the meeting of the board of county commissioners for supplying bran and poison free of charge to the people of Moslda for the destruction of grasshoppers, with which the district is seriously infested. The work will be done under the direction direc-tion of County Fruit Tree Inspector Otto J, Poulson and County Agent C. W. Lindsay. Lind-say. County Auditor K. T. Palfreyman made report on the condition of county funds. There are overdrafts in the amount stated stat-ed In the following funds: General fund. S40.295.7S; poor and indigent, in-digent, JHUiT; exhibition and advertising, $340; Pleasant View special road tax, S:"..24 : Lake view and Vinevard special road tax, $294,10. There is on hand in the state road tax fund So2f7.:iS. The following fees were reported collected col-lected ' in June: Sheriff, $j7.9u; recorder, 45:i.20; clerk. $356.20. Superintendent Andrew Knudsen reported re-ported four admitted and two discharged at the county infirmary In June. There are now thirty-five inmates twentv-three twentv-three men and twelve women. ' i The contract for publishing delinquent tax notices for 1916 was awarded the Alpine Al-pine Publishing company on its bid of li cents per name and description and each delinquent to be mailed a copy of the papr. The New Century Printing eompany was given the contract for the greater pnrt of the printing. Some items were given to J. "W. Dangerfield and the Provo Post Printing company. |
