Show SPIES DISCOVERED ON TROOP TRANSPORT NEW YORK, July 3. Passengers arriving ar-riving here today on the steamer Flori-zel Flori-zel from Halifax, N. S., declared that on . June 30, two German spies, carrying explosives, ex-plosives, were discovered on the" British troop ship Olympic as she was about to leave Halifax for England with mearlv 6,000 Canadian troops aboard. The two men were brought ashore and put in iail. The Olympic, owned bv the White Star Line, has been in the service of tho British government sinco the beginning of the war. She is a 22,000-ton boat and was last reported in Marine records as arriving at Halifax' April 24. Under the military censorship, her movements are not reported until after she reaches her destination. Soon after the beginning of the war the Olympic struck a mine and was damaged. |
