Dispatches from Bridgchampton, N. Y., yesterday said that Mr. Hughes was busy with preparations for his trip to the Pacific Pa-cific coast. It was stated that the candidate can-didate was preparing- in advance ten or twelve speeches to be used on the expedition, ex-pedition, each limited t.o 10,000 or 12,000 words. Preparedness and the Democratic administration's ad-ministration's foreign policy, with special reference to Mexico, will be the chief topics discussed by Mr. Hughes on this trip, it was announced. The dispatches said that Mr. Hughes made it plain to callers yesterday tha t he does not intend in-tend to make the campaign one of personalities. |
