Show ENORMOUS FORCE IS AVAILABLE FOR MILITARY SERVICE "WASHINGTON, July 3. A census bureau table Issued today estimated the number of able-bodied men of military age in the United States as about 21,-OOO.'OOtf 21,-OOO.'OOtf men. The estimate is based on the assumption assump-tion that there has been an Increase of 10 per cent In the population since 1910, when the total male population over IS years and under 46 was 19.1S3.000. Of this number, 14,244,000 were native whites, 2,S7,O00 were foreign-born whites who had become naturalized, 2,062,010 were negroes and 50,000 were Indians. During tho civil war, when the population popula-tion of the country, exclusive of the seceding se-ceding states, was less than one-fourth as great as the total present population, the "number of pien rvlng in the northern north-ern army at one ti m or another was 2.500. 000."
