The Salt Lake and the Rio Grande teams met yesterday at Liberty park In another round of the Daynos cup utate championship series, Ro Grande won, 2 to 0. Tho railroaders won the toss and chose their half of the field with the sun at their backs. Salt Lako kicked, off arid ran down, but midlleld play followed and things appeared In favor of tho Rio Grandcs, but Salt Lake's backs played good defense and held. Salt Lako was doing more team work than Rio Grande, but was steadily repulsed time after time. Ansell and Collins were doing well. An overhead kick by the former about twenty twen-ty yards from Rio Grande's goal landed In the goal mouth, but was saved by Mayhew. Fox and Bramley were, persistent per-sistent aggrosaors. while Vlckors and Graham had little trouble In keeping the ball out of their part of the Held. About a minute before time was up, Fred Bramley Bram-ley toolc a pass from McMorrlne. and, running down past Salt Lake's back division, di-vision, scored the first goal. Before the ball could be centered time was cal'Iod. After the Interval both sides livened up considerable and bits of real excitement followed. Strathearn and McLachlan made a good team and repeatedly rushed down their wing and made trouble for Dickinson, who, however, coolly stoppod their runs before they could center. Rio Grande's backs, Graham and Vlckera were nearly Impregnable, while Donaldson Donald-son plodded along the center and kept the forwards fed well.
