Show BAGGS STANDS TRIAL HERE ON "WHITE SLAVE" COUNT F. b Baggs. who was arrested two weeks ago for a violation of the "white slave" law, will have to stand trial In this city. Judge J. J. De Haven of the California district of the federal court has issued an order for his removal and he will be brought here by the marshal of that district or one of his deputies. He Is expected tomorrow. Baggs was indicted by the federal grand jury and was arrested In San Francisco. He has raised several objections objec-tions to his romoval to this city, but these have been overruled. Witnesses left here several days ago and went to San Francisco to identify Baggs. He had advanced the statement that although ho had the same name he was not tne man named In the Indictment. |
