Show MARGARET WHITNEY WILL PRESENT OWN OPERETTA Miss, Margaret Whitney, the gifted Salt Lake girl who has a number of successful suc-cessful dramatic efforts to her credit, has completed an operetta entitled "The Steno," in two acts. The sketch tells the story of a young stenographer who loves the son of her employer. The scenes of the play are laid in the office of the wholesale firm of Barrlnglon & Co. Its most telling point Is the effect of late hours on stenographers ste-nographers who try to carry on their work satisfactorily during tho day. There arc several local hits which add Interest, a number of catchy songs and chorus numbers, and a wealth of sparkling spark-ling dialogue. The book, the lyrics and tho musical compositions are all Miss "Whitney's work. "The Slcnb" will be given its premier at Whitney hall during the last week of the current month. As Miss Whitney's work In the past has shown originality and the power of keen penetration, the production of "The Steno," which is her most -ambitious effort, is looked forward to by her many friends and admirers with pleasurable anticipation. |
