Show Youngsters Are to Revel 1 In Camp Life Pleasures J Members of Boys' Olubs Plan Outing- on Shore of . the Lake. A GOOD TIME IS ASSURED Fishing, Boating and Other Healthful Exercise Comprise Programme. With practically every detail worked out, the camp committee of tho Associated Associ-ated Boys of Utah, composed of F. V. fisher, F. O. Kelley, Fred Sexton, "Bobby" Richardson, C. A. Wyman and W. E. Day, yesterday afternoon at tho Deneret gymnasium decided that eixt' boys from that institution should en,jo3 thet privileges of Cnmn Saratoga, Sara-toga, beginning June 12 ami lasting seven days. This group of boys will merely be the "advance squad of a crowd of GOO which will leave June 30 for the attractive little resort on the shores of Utah lake, where they -will remain ten days anu enjoy a siege of outdoor Jifo which will, no doubt, bo beneficial in the ex treme. iL ine uescroc gymnasium oat- urday afternoon the committee which has been looking into the selection of a desirablo .site, and especially Mr. Wyman, Wy-man, Mr. Richardsdn and Mr. Saxton, was most enthusiastic, as this particular partic-ular work has taken a number of weeks. Payson and Santaquin also had been visited by the delegation, whore the most cordial treatment was reeeived. City officials at each place were anxious anx-ious that tho summer camp be locatod in their immediate vicinity and Mr. Wymun said that the subject of a selection se-lection was an exceedingly difficult matter, involving considerable expense in travel Now that Camp Saratoga has definitely been decided upon, the work of shaping tho camp and oquiping it with all the facilities of practical outdoor life will be hurried. Mr. Campbell Camp-bell of tho Salt Lake Route was also dn attendance at the meeting, informing inform-ing the committee that his company would introduce low rates on the line. Lelii Will Assist. Boy scouts and independent clubs from Ogden',' Lchi, Provo, L'urcka. Mer-eur, Mer-eur, Tin lie Valley and Garfield and whatever other organization that feels so disposed will participate in the first annual outing. This movement is the first of its kind oVer inaugurated in this state. Members of tho Lchi Commercial Com-mercial club Saturday informed Mr. Wyman that it would make tho camp more attractive than over, and that everything would be in readiness for the advance squad the fore part of .Tune. The mess hall is said to be an ideal place for the boys to eat their daily meals. With a seating capacity of 500 the largo and spacious building will easily accommodate every boy at tho camp. Thrco meals a day, the 'food being the most wholesome that can bo securod, will bo given. Cooks have, already al-ready been augaged, while experienced waiters will assist materially in carrying carry-ing out a prearranged plan, in order that cver3r boy may cct his sharo of the rations. Boats will be moored on the edge of the lake and boating will be one of the features of the vacation. The cost of tho entire I rip will not exceed ex-ceed $5.50 each. The fare to and from Salt Lako will be $1.25, while the expenses, ex-penses, including all privileges, food, tents and other incidentals, will be $1. Tents will bo used exclusively bv tho boys. Tho camp is to be "inspected daily from a sanitary as well as a regulation standpoint. Tt is expected that this innovation will prove popular UTAH m i LAKE ii!! among the youngsters, as these are two of the strict requirements ombraced in the rules nild regulations ' of each group. Tho camp 'physicians will be subject to cnll at any time, either by telephone or messenger. Good Time Assured. Arrangements have been completed -A ie., eln Commercial club whereby iiOO gallons of fresh water is to be liaulod daily for culinary and drinking purposes. Ice also is to be used. Tho mess hall is to be strung with electric light, and it is believed that some excellent ex-cellent musical programmes can be given here by tho two musical organizations organi-zations of thirty pieces which arc being be-ing organized at the present time. Fresh vegetables will be- delivered whenever necessary, and the edibles will according to Mr. Wymnn, be the best that can be obtained. Bathing and 'oquatic spoils will form one of tho chief M.i the outing. The pier is being rebuilt 1 11 and the bath houses are undergoing re 1 f pairs.
