Show ALL HALLOWS PREPARES FOR ELOCUTION TRIALS The preliminaries for the annual elocution elo-cution coniest were held before tho faculty fac-ulty and student body at All Hallows college Saturday. The boys are divided Into three divisions. The junior division is composed of tho small boys who are In the Junior classes. Those who passed in this division aro R. Ringholr, L. Hughes, D. Dunham. M. Sweeny, B. O'Brien, W. Smith, C. Woodlc, W, McLennan. Mc-Lennan. C. Watson. C. McLennan. In the academic division those who passed were J. Rlngholz, A. Crusell. ID. Chrls-tenscn. Chrls-tenscn. W. Frank, S. Maloney, L. Bou-ford, Bou-ford, 13. Forrest, J. Rodgcrs and G. Hcn-sel- Those who passed in tho senior division di-vision aro 1j. Werncth, G. Schmidt, C. McGill, M. Boyle, J. Nclllgan, R. Young and J. Owens. The boys arc working hard for this contest and each Is eager to win the gold medal for his own division. The contest will probably be held next Friday. The faculty has not decided upon the judges and is lalilng great pains in the selection. The Junior choir is preparing a song for this occasion. Professor Pe-dcrson Pe-dcrson is rehearsing the band for the event and as this is the first time thl3 year that the band musicians have had an opportunity to show their skill in public it will be a treat to the audience as well as to the students themselves. The Dramatic association is having light rehearsals on the play for the end of the year. Nine of the parts havo already al-ready been given out and others are expected ex-pected to be given out this week. |
