ALLEGED NEGLECT BY THE COUNTY PHYSICIAN V. Boyd reported to the police Saturday Sat-urday afternoon that Thomas Burke, residing re-siding at G5 North First West street, was confined to his bed with Inflammatory Inflamma-tory rheumatism and that tho man had been unable to secure medical treatment from the county physicians. According to the story of Boyd, the case of 'Burke had been reported to the county physician about a week ago and his case had been referred to the pauper clerk, whore, so far as Burke was concerned, con-cerned, it seemed to rest until he could go there in person and get a cerlillcato tilled out. which in turn, he was to present pre-sent to the county physician before he would be given treatment. Then. Boyd said, the case was referred back to the County physician, where It was again held up for sonic sort of Investigation. In-vestigation. Boyd said that he was tired trying to get assistance from the county physician and had decided to report the ease to the police.
