T.. and sayH that he has cleaned qut the east as far as welterweights are concerned, con-cerned, the last one going down to defeat de-feat being Tommy Sayers, who took the count at. the end of two rounds, Mantel lias made a small fortune In the fighting game the past two years. Tommy Dawson wired from Indianapolis Indianap-olis that he had lert for Salt Lake City. Saturdav afternoon, and expects to be licro- Tuesday night. Dawson and Pete Sullivan arc matched Tor twenty rounds. Pocatcllo Is making a bid for the Sullivan-Dawson fight, and if the fans secure it they will ace one of the best contests of the vear. Dawson whipped everybody at his weight In F.ngland when he was there. His last fight was with Henri Pier, the French champion, whom he defeated de-feated In two rounds.
