Dr. lllff was for more than thirty vcars a prominent and Influential minister In this state, being nt the time of his residence resi-dence here superintendent of missions for the Methodist Eptocopal church. It was while engaged In the mission field hero that he built the Methodist church which bears his name, and for some time he-was he-was Its pastor. Several years ago. after finlshlnc his mission work. Dr. lllff removed to Denver Den-ver and has since been devoting his time to the dedication of churches and the do-llvery do-llvery of his lecture, "The Boys of 'Gl-'05." 'Gl-'05." or "Tho Sunny Side of a Soldier's Life." which has now become famous throughout ihe country. It Is a thrilling narrative of what an Ohio cavalry boy saw in tho war.
