TEAMS PREPARING 10 LEAVE FOR QUARTERS Sixteen Baseball Squads Will Go South to Begin Training. BY MANHATTAN. By Leased Wire to The Tribune. NEW YORK, Feb. 19. The New York Giants havo the honor of inaugurating tho spring baseball training season thl year. A few of the players reached Marlin Springs. Tex., Friday, and more will arrive tomorrow. Active training will start Monday. Within a fortnight every Giant will be at tho Springs preparing pre-paring for tho 1910 season. Manager McGraw eays this will be the busiest season In years. He thinks he has material for a pennant and will work hard to bring out the best in the boys. The New York Yankees will report at Athens, Ga., March 5.
