Ho spoke enthusiastically of the 1 development that has taken place there within twelve years, especially along the line of dry farming. All the valley of the Teton, la says. Is. now ono gigantic, grain field, which is averaging this year from thirty to thirty-five bushclr. of wheat to tho acre, without Irrigation. Dr. Driggs seems to think that the possibilities for dairy farming in tho Teton basin arc unlimited, tho climate and conditions corresponding to thoso of Wasatch county in Utah. A great deal of timothy Is raised In fhc valley, growing grow-ing abundantly at Jackson's Hole til-vide, til-vide, whore the altitude Is S120 fcot. Sheep raising In now tho principal industry indus-try and line stock Is being introduced. In addition to the. advantages set forth, it is an ideal place to hunt and fish, the climate being ideal. |
