Show DELTAC0UNTY ACTIVE IN MAKING A RECORD PUEBLO, Colo., Aug. 30. Delta, ccn-ter ccn-ter of a rich western slope fruit and intensive cultivation area, is alive to the possibilities of the eighteenth national na-tional irrigation congress and tho national na-tional irrigation exposition. Delta county, through its board of county commissioners, has made an appropriation ap-propriation for space at tho national irrigation exposition and is preparing an extensive exhibit. The fruits and beets of the Delta district of tho famous fa-mous western slope will bo shown, with the confident belief that interest will thereby be aroused in the 10,000 keen and live men who will seo the exposition expo-sition and attond the big Pueblo congress. con-gress. Tho chairman of the board of county commissioners, George C. Wilson, has .just appointed a live delegation to tho congress, which includes: William Hopkins. Crawford; G. W. Bruce, Delta; Paul Wilson, Hotchkiss; R. W. Curtis, Cedarcdge; Charles Oliver, Oli-ver, Paonia. Mayor P. P. Smith has also named from the city of Delta a strong delegation dele-gation conjnfismg A. R. King, W. O. Stephens, W. P. Dale, John A. Curtis, L. W. Swcitzcr. Paul Wilson and Judge A. R. King of this delegation aro members of the board of control of the eighteenth national na-tional irrigation congress. |
