Although tho beet crop to he harvested In Weber county this season will not be as large as that of the past few years, the recent analyses and tests made by chemists of tho Amalgamated Amal-gamated Sugar company from beet samples sam-ples taken from different sections .of the county show that the crop will be Just as fully charged with tho sugar-making qualities as that of former years. The shortage of the crop is partially due to tho differences which arose when David Ecclcs and the other officials of the sugar company refused to increase the price per ton, which resulted In some of the farmers pledging themselves to grow no beats. The season has not been favorable to the growing of beets and this has something to do with the short ncrongc.
