Two American harness handicap derbies, two minor heat events and an unsuccessful attempt hy C. IC G. Billings to drive his big black gelding. Uhlan, better than 2:01 to a wagon, marked tho opening of the grand circuit today at tho ltcadvllle track. Bob Douglass, a local horse, won the ?10.0(I0 trotting derby from scratch. Alloen Wilson, another Boston entry with lite samo handicap, captured the derby for pacers, while Uhlan was beaten by la seconds by Old Father Time. Both the derbies were made in poor time and tho officials apologized in sending Uhlan over a slow track and against a heavy broozi1.
