Show FIE PROGRAMME FOR GOOD ROADS MEETING The Building of One Mile of Model Highway Will Be Feature. Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, Aug. 30. Tho Intermountaln Good Roads association, which will hold Its annual convention here next month during the Four-state fair, is making big preparations for the entertainment of the delegates. A committee composed of A. P. Bigelow. chairman; D. A. Smith, Dan Ensign, John McDcrmott and Elliott Brown, hns been appointed to arrange for hotel accommodations and to sec those private citizens who will help to entertain the dclegaLes. On the opening day addresses will be made in the morning by Governor Spry and Mayor Glasmann. In the afternoon Congressman Howell and others will deliver de-liver addresses. In the evening an automobile auto-mobile parade, under the direction of the Ogden Automobile club, will be held, after which Dr. H. M. Rowe, president of the Four State Fair association, will entertain the delegates at the fair grounds. Saturday forenoon will be devoted to business, nnd In the afternoon there will be an excursion to Lagoon, Ogden canyon can-yon or some other point of Interest near here. On Sunday there will probably bo an excursion to Salt Lake and return. Joseph Jo-seph F. Pcery being In charge of this part of the programme. Monday morning there will be a demonstration dem-onstration road building exhibit by the Weber county commissioners In which all the delegates are expected to take part, this being tho start of the contemplated con-templated connecting link of road which will eventually connect the three states of Idaho. Utah and "Wyoming. Mayor Glasmann has been appointed a committee of ono to arrange for railroad rates to Ogden and return for this convention. con-vention. II. J- Pcery has been appointed a committee of one to secure the tabernacle taber-nacle for the meetings. Many otherforms of entertainment and side trips and excursions ex-cursions arc being planned for the occasion. |
